The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing
The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is the world's leading dance examinations board. Formed in 1904, it is to this day a registered educational​ charity. It is the only organisation that covers the full spectrum of dance examinations on a truly global scale.
All our core genre teachers at the Heights are qualified teachers of the ISTD. We are currently the only ISTD School in Sheffield.

Cecchetti Classical Ballet
Taught at all professional ballet schools in the country and around the world. The Cecchetti method brings ballet to life from the stage to the studio.Our dancers are inspired from young to old to feel the magic and the achievement gained by learning this classical style.Our annual show is testament to this. Did you know we are the only school in Sheffield to create a children's ballet? Through ballet, we are always creating memories.​We ask all of our pupils to participate in our fun & inspiring ballet classes. This gives our dancers the strength, flexibility and discipline they need to succeed in their other chosen genres.
Modern Theatre
Our Modern Theatre dance syllabus combines many fun styles of dance giving our pupils an amazing experience. Our dancers feel confident, energised and inspired. The choreography is fun and brings a smile to all students faces.
Tap Dance
Tap is the most rhythmic forms of dance. It is inspiring for both children and adults. It is a great form of exercise and can be a real brain teaser. Everyone always leaves enthused.
